Devon Hurt is a multi-instrumentalist composer and improvisor based in the North Shore area. His dozen years in the music industry have led to a staggeringly diverse set of experiences across 4 continents. From stints on the famed punk festival Warped Tour, to working as a jazz musician on cruise ships, to serving as faculty at Berklee’s Global Music Institute in Delhi, there’s not a gig or genre he hasn’t explored. This experience fostered an understanding of all the different ways that music can improve people’s lives, and this is what forms the core of his teaching practice. No matter what a student’s level, interests or goals are, Devon prides himself on finding the unique thing for everyone that cements music as a lasting source of joy in their lives.
