Derek Hayden is a New England based percussionist with a degree in music studies from UMass Lowell. He has played professionally in many different settings ranging from rock, jazz, orchestral and progressive.  Derek is well versed in drum set and has ample experience on hand drums as well as mallet percussion.  Aside from being a busy performer, Derek also takes great pride in teaching music and percussion. He teaches private lessons as well as different group ensembles from small electric ensembles to bucket drumming groups.
