Dave began his musical study with piano, switching to percussion at age 9. He started his first rock band at 11 and has since founded and performed with countless musical acts, exploring many genres (i.e. punk, funk, blues, jazz, hip-hop, experimental, pop, Latin, classic and alternative rock). He gained orchestral experience playing symphonic music with the Lynn University Conservatory of Music and the Concord Symphony. He currently performs in and around Boston with Sasha Milan Trio, Still On the Vine, as well as his solo-project, ZEAL. Dave brings an improvisational understanding to his teaching style, weaving technical exercises with song-study, and an intuitional ability to bring each student to their own next level. He draws on his many years of study, as well as his experience teaching private and group lessons.
