Frank Barbaro


Education:William Paterson University in New Jersey where he specialized in music education and low brass studies.

Frank is a multi-instrumentalist who began his music career at age 5 studying classical piano. At age 7 he started playing guitar and at 8, the euphonium. His mother is a music teacher and had a big influence on his musical journey. Through middle school and high-school Frank performed in musical theater, choir, band and jazz band. He continued studying music at William Paterson University in New Jersey where he specialized in music education and low brass studies. Frank studied piano with Gary Kirkpatrick and Carl Bolleia, tuba with Paul Scott and bass trombone with Tim Newman. Today you can find Frank writing compositions and playing tuba, trombone, and trumpet with the 215th Infantry Army Band of Massachusetts. He has experience playing in brass bands, rock bands, orchestras, big bands, and wind ensembles. Frank teaches piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, trombone, trumpet, tuba, French horn, euphonium and violin and is thrilled to be joining the ZFDM team!
