With over 10 years of teaching experience, Jonathan has cultivated a dynamic teaching approach, specializing in piano, saxophone, music theory, and ensemble instruction. He has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, preparing them for district music festivals, college entrance auditions, and beyond. Jonathan’s curriculum is designed to foster creativity and technical proficiency, incorporating sight reading, ear training, theory, composition, arranging, and improvisation. His goal is to help students discover the richness of music through a fun, inquisitive approach that emphasizes clear objectives and solid musical fundamentals.
In addition to his teaching career, Jonathan is an active performer and composer with a passion for exploring new musical frontiers. His saxophone performances are known for their honesty, innovation, and emotional depth, reflecting his dedication to pushing artistic boundaries. Jonathan’s interest in electronic music composition and sound design allows him to merge modern techniques with traditional influences, creating immersive soundscapes that stir emotion and provoke introspection. He is currently preparing for the release of his third album, Philharmonic, in April 2025, following the release of Florescere and Circulus Vitiosus Deus in 2024. Each of these albums showcases his ongoing exploration of new sounds and creative depth, embodying his commitment to authenticity and artistic expression.
